Yeo Valley Bumblebee Safaris 2025
I am delighted to tell you that I will be continuing with my Bumblebee Safaris for 2025 at Yeo Valley Organic Garden. I simply love the gardens here and so do the pollinators. It’s buzzing with bumblebees and solitary bees and is planted with our buzzy friends in mind. If you’ve never been you will love it. Our special bumblebee safaris include a fascinating insight into our bumblebees and solitary bees, the chance to have a look at my pollinator inspired nature table and a wander around these amazing organic gardens looking at bees. Plus there’s tea or coffee and some cake! (Sssshhhhh don’t tell anyone but the cake is amazing!).
The 2025 dates have been announced and tickets are now on sale – book here.
Thur 24 April, Sat 14 June, Sat 12 July, Thur 21 Aug
Please note: The venue is Yeo Valley Organic Garden, Blagdon, BS40 7SQ and not Yeo Valley HQ
Happy Bee Safari Guests:
“Such an amazing experience. Jean is very knowledgeable & enthusiastic about all varieties of bees. I learnt so much I’ve been on a Bee Keeping experience before which I thoroughly enjoyed, but this was quite a different experience to that one, as this focuses on all types of bees, in their own habitat. So don’t bypass this event, just because you might have been on a Bee course before! This is an informative, interesting, safe & thoroughly enjoyable experience that I highly recommend! LOVED IT” Jayne Townley
“Perfect weather, beautiful location… And the word enthusiastic is not enough to describe Jean ‘the bee expert’. Who knew there was so much to know about bees? I highly recommend this experience.“
RHS Wisley Workshop on Garden Bees
I am delighted to say that I am tutoring again at RHS Wisley and taking two adult workshops on Saturday May 10th 2025. An Introduction to Garden Bees is a peek inside bee world. It’s a great chance to learn some more about the bumblebees and solitary bees in and around your garden. I will present my pollinator focussed nature table, an illustrated introduction to garden bees and then a bee safari around the Wisley gardens where I will gently catch some bumblebees and other pollinators for you to see close-up.
There is a morning session and an afternoon session, so you get to spend the rest of your day enjoying these magnificent gardens.
Tickets are selling fast, so if you’d like to join me do book your place. Tickets are on sale here.
RHS Rosemoor Workshop
For the second year running I will be hosting a workshop about bumblebees and solitary bees in the fabulous gardens at RHS Rosemoor. This event, which will be suitable for keen teenagers and adults will take place on Saturday August 30th 2025 in the afternoon. The course includes my interactive nature table that is full of all sorts of pollinator specimens, models and fascinating items, an illustrated talk sharing some of the quirky bees that you may never have met and a bee safari around the amazing gardens at RHS Rosemoor. I will gently catch a few bees and pollinators so that you can see them close up and appreciate their beauty. Tickets have just gone on sale. Numbers are limited so book your session before it sells out here.
