Yeo Valley Bumblebee Safari

If you are fascinated by the little buzzy bees in your gardens, and would like to delve into the magical world of bumblebees and solitary bees, this is a great experience.

The Bumblebee Safari’s at Yeo Valley are a real chance to get up close to our native bees and other pollinators. We will take a wander through the wonderful organic gardens, which change throughout the seasons, and look at the plants and flowers that are virtual bee magnets and why different plants attract different bees. During the garden tour Jean will gently and safely catch some of the bumblebees into magnifying pots so that you can see the bees close up and start to learn about how to identify them. It’s a wonderful way to appreciate the beauty of the bees.

This special event also includes an illustrated talk to introduce you into the secret lives of garden bees. You will meet some of the fascinating bees and hear about their incredible secret lives. Plus there’s tea or coffee and cake! (Sssshhh don’t mention the cake).
